MCM-Inspired Nashville Home Designed by Local Architect Ryan Thewes

I noticed this MCM-inspired home being built a few years back in East Nashville. I was intrigued at a new build of this style, so naturally I asked around and did some online research. I finally found out that it was designed and built for an East Nashville couple by local architect Ryan Thewes. As a preservationist I’m partial to original mid-century architecture (of course), but Nashville is comprised largely of mid-century classic and modest ranches. True mid-century moderns are much harder to come by. So it makes sense that if you want the look of mid-century modern, you may have to build a home in this style. I most certainly prefer architecturally interesting new builds to the generic infill going up everywhere. The link below will take you to the project page for this home that contains more photos.
